Entangled World Cannot go to War !!

Today the world is heavily entangled. 

WWW made this world into a global village. Now, with the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting lockdowns have made this world a global living room. Interacting with each other over the net, people are collaborating like never before.

Even before this current situation, we can see businesses flourishing in the world in a strange manner. An Indian company taking over a British car company. Chinese banks investing in Indian startups. We have already seen American jobs going offshore to places like India and the Philippines. And, many more.

In Science-Technology too, we see an entangled world. In some sectors, you can see effect real globalization, transecting national borders, like in Logistics, Oil&Gas, and Outer-Space. Logistics companies like DHL, UPS collaborating with local operators all across the globe facilitating an interesting but complex web of service points. You will see, a team of Americans, Frenchmen, Indians, Pakistanis, Philipinos, Egyptians, working together in the UAE, planning the development of an Emirati oil field. Similarly, we have seen close cooperation in space-tech. USA-Russia operating the ISS together. ISRO launching satellites of various countries and so on. This type of global collaboration can be seen in many fields and it is bound to increase in the near future.

Do you think, any of these countries can go to war with each other? It will be like shooting at one's own feet. There will be rivalry and competitions, no doubt; but they can never go to war. 

I am sure, the recent Indo-China crisis will subside soon. The Modi-Xi bonhomie will prevail. It reminded me of the due sipping tea together in a swing. One day, there might be a space-station operated jointly by ISRO and CNSA !! I am hopeful.

RIP Soldiers !!

Few years back, a martyred army officer's daughter, Gurmehar Kaur, wrote,  "Pakistan did not kill my Dad, War did." in the social media. Quite predictably, it was bombarded with tonnes of abuse and memes. BUT, in my view, she is damn right !! When I heard about soldiers dying on the Indo-China border, I wrote, "RIP Soldiers - Chinese and Indians." For me, due to some crazy politicians, some brain-washed young souls had to give up their lives. A nation maintains military and recruits these young men and women and costly defense hardware because it perceives an enemy. If all enemies can be eliminated, there is no need to maintain a costly military. It is like a medicine for an illness like obesity, that can be avoided in the first place. How to eliminate 'enemy'!
